Homeopathy
Cynthia Lategan received her doctorate in pharmacology, magna cum laude, from Louisiana State University Medical Center in 1980. For 25 years, Cindy (as she is known to most people) served as medical educator and researcher - teaching, writing, and conducting basic and clinical pharmacology studies - before deciding to make homeopathy her career. Cindy's studies in homeopathy have spanned over 20 years and two continents (Europe and North America) with her final practical training at Teleosis School of Homeopathy. That included more than 700 classroom hours in homeopathic principles and over 400 hours in supervised practice. She was certified as a classical homeopath in 2009 by the Council for Homeopathic Certification in North America www.homeopathicdirectory.com and is a registered member of the North American Society of Homeopaths www.homeopathy.org/
Cindy was recently certified as a CEASE practitioner, an approach to healing that utilizes classical homeopathy, homeopathic detoxification, and Dr. Tinus Smits’ Inspiring Homeopathy in children with autism spectrum disorders. (For more information about CEASE and Modified CEASE, click here.)
Married with two grown children and a former teacher in secondary schools, Cindy has also maintained a practice of self-discovery/self-knowledge for 30 years. Her personal in-depth journey of self-discovery, her experiences with students of all ages, and her 34 years as a parent give her a broad range of experiences from which to draw upon in her practice of homeopathy, which requires astute observation and understanding, not only of the human body, but also of the human psyche.
